Decisions...
It seems that everywhere we go, decisions are part of everything that happens. Whether or not you decide to drink coke daily may increase or decrease life expectancy, etc. One thing that bothers people is what choice to make. How much do you know about making the right choices?
Let me sketch a scenario; walking down the road, you pick up a winning lottery ticket, what do you do? Tough one hey? You see the person bet a whole heap load of cash on it, so the reward must obviously be a whole vault full of lovely R200 notes.
Decision 1; You would think, "Well, finders keepers; I found it and this is mine." You end up claiming the ticket, and most likely winning a load of money.
Decision 2; "Lottery is against God's law, as He is the provider for me and my family." You toss down the ticket and earn an honest living as a good worker. Years later you are rewarded with a huge promotion and end up earning the lottery ticket's winnings in monthly amounts [best case scenario].
Decision 3; Look around and see a man walking in the opposite direction and think, "Well it must be his; I best return him his ticket." You walk up to the man and it is truthfully his ticket. He thanks you, and walks on to become the next big things on TV and news, as the man who won the lottery. You did the right thing in returning what doesn't belong to you.
Look carefully at each one. Decision 1 is probably the first thig that will cross your mind, right? Come one! Be honest. Decision 1 would cross my mind first, as well. It all depends on how you look at it.
Decision 1 is based on the idea that I found it, and therefore, it is mine now; regardless of who paid for it and won it. Decision 1 is indirectly theft, no matter how you look at it. Justifying your motives with your intentions for the money still wouldn't change the fact that it's theft.
Decision 2 & 3 have similarities, they are based on the second and third ideas that might cross your mind; it is not yours, leave it there or return it to its person. Decision 2 is based on the fact that God provides for you, and that even thought this is a chance to get rich quickly, He is always there for you, and will always come through for you.
See how decisions we make could ultimately change our path? This blog is a personal journal recording people's decisions, and which are the right ones to make.
